Our Story – Big Love Ministries Big Love Ministries was born in 2009, while I was incarcerated. It was there, behind bars, that I encountered the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. From that moment on, I knew my life had a new purpose—to share that same love with others who feel forgotten or unworthy.
After my release, I began going back into county jails and prisons, drug rehab homes reaching men and women who were battling all kinds of addictions—alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, pornography, and more. Over the past 13 years, we’ve walked alongside countless individuals fighting to break free and find hope again.
Now as a pastor, we discovered a heartbreaking truth: when people leave incarceration or addiction, they often have nowhere safe to go. Many churches turn them away or look down on them because of the past or the way they look. That’s why Big Love Ministries Freedom church exists—to be the church that welcomes them with open arms, just as Christ welcomed us. We want to invite the families of the men and woman that are still incarcerated so they can get to know us. We believe God’s Kingdom is built through grace, mercy, and second chances. We are building His Kingdom with all the ex’s—ex-prisoners, ex-addicts, ex-everything—because in God’s eyes, we are all redeemed and made new.
